From my window

Once again, much attention is devoted to a common activity: looking out of the window. Very often, this is one of the first things we do in the morning. We look out of the window to find out what the weather is like. We also look out of the window when we come home or when we don't even know about it (when we are on the phone, etc.).

Just as in the other series with an everyday theme, the common ground of this series is exaggeration. Too much attention is given to the activity of looking out of the window. This is combined with an awareness we usually do not have when looking out of our window.

It is also a form of communication between us and the outside world. We are in our safe haven, our flat, the place we return to every evening to sleep, eat, make love, et.

But again, just as in the other series, the photographs are taken with an approach favouring the banal. There is nothing exciting to these views. No "Rear window", no peeping tom perspective, no fragile relationship between the voyer and his victim.
